November Sample Board Card

Here is a card that will be on the sample board at the November Stamp a Stack. I used a page out of an old dictions and stamped the ornaments from the Christmas Ornamental collection, turned out pretty good. There will be a video coming soon, stay tuned!

Missing Spring

I know it's not even winter yet, but I have to say I hate cold weather. I decided to make a card that reminded me of Spring and Summer. I cased this one. The HB is from the Sassy Salutations http://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=126707. This is a card design we'll be using in an upcoming Stamp a Stack 2014. Warm Wishes

I cased this card using the SnowDay stamp set. I love this. It was really quick and easy to make. I couldn't find the SU demonstrator that I got this from, sorry about that. Holiday Line UP

I wanted to share a look at some cards I made for a friend this year. I make Christmas cards every year and sell them at my work place. It's a great way to make a few pennies! Happy Birthday

This is a technique I've been seeing a lot on the different SU sites. You use a piece of masking tape as your stamp. You lay it across your ink pad and then on your paper. Once I got my colors on here I stamped the trees from Lovely as a Tree stamp set. I like this technique and plan to use it more. Have a great day!

Lovely as a Tree Happy Birthday Card

Yeap! another Lovely as  a tree stamped card. The Stamp a Stack classes are all full now! The class in December will feature the Lovely as a tree set and that's why I've been sharing so many ideas. I have 3 display boards sharing all the ideas I've found on how to use each set. There are still openings for the Everyday Occasions class coming up November 2. I've gotten lots of interest and I'm so excited to announce that this class will be held in the classroom at the Eastgate Hobby Lobby. thank to the manager there he is allowing me to use the room for free. I LOVE IKEA!

I got this over the weekend at Ikea. I've seen it on several blogs in different artist studios and I had to get one. I thought it would fit under my work table and I could pull it in and out. But it didn't.. so I decided to load it with my Stampin Up goodies. I'm using this stuff a lot and I want to have things I work with very close at hand. This cart cost $50 and it is very sturdy and pulls around easily. I LOVE IT! Now, of course when I get more SU stuff I'll either need to find a new place to have it or just force myself into getting another one. LOL Have a great day!

Sympathy Card

I was messing around with some ink and a water brush and came up with this. I used stamps from the Simply Sketched set. I don't have any of the SU markers so I used my Distress markers. to color the bird. Can't remember where I go the paper.

Halloween Pumpkin

I just had to give this a try. I don't normally make Halloween cards, but when I saw a card by Rae-Harper Burnet I had to give it a try. I changed it just a bit, but I think it turned out pretty good. I would have never thought to use the snowman from the SU Snow Day stamp set to make this card. Faux Washi Tape

I love love washi tape, and have lots... but when I saw this stamp set from SU I had to get it. I used black ink with this one but the sky is the limit with what you can do with these. I plan to use them lots in my scrapbooking too. Hope you're having a great day!

Zoo Babies

Here is another card on one of my sample boards I do for the ladies who come to my in-home workshops. I made 3 boards with 12 cards on each one. I have them there for them to take pictures if they like and get ideas. I change the 36 cards every month, showcasing the stamp set we are using that night on one of them.
I used the SU Zoo Babies set, aren't those stamps just too stinkin' cute?
People ask how do you come up with all those ideas and then have the time to make all the cards,
I surf the Internet for the ideas, lots of the cards are exactly like the ones I find, just different paper and maybe stamps but the designs are the same. Some of them I alter just a bit. I'm so blessed by all the talented people out there that share their creations so we can all benefit from their designs.
Now, for the "TIME".. well, I work full time at the hospital as a Xray Technologist, after work I feed and walk or play fetch with my boy Odie, do dinner and it's off to the studio. I'm not much for watching TV (not much good on LOL), but I do have it on for noise while I'm working in my studio. It also helps me keep track of the time. If the 11:00 news comes on that means I've stayed up a little too long.. five o'clock rolls around really quick. So, I guess that I work in the studio every night except Saturday and Sunday, for about 5 hours. I don't always make cards though, I have a video due every week for Cropstop, scrapbook and when the "creative dead-lock hits", I go to the mixed media studio to make a messy creations. So, there you have it. That's how I do it. Oh YEAH! and then I do my blog everyday.....  I truly love what I do and I am so blessed to have the ability to do it.
